In 1957, we also began producing hydrogen cyanide by reacting methane gas with ammonia. By using iodine and hydrogen cyanide as key raw materials, we have been manufacturing and selling various iodine compounds and cyanide derivatives. These products are used across a wide range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, functional materials, semiconductors, and electronics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Japan, which lacks natural resources, iodine and natural gas extracted from brine in ancient geological formations are irreplaceable treasures. Nippoh Chemicals has utilized these treasures to provide materials that address the challenges of the most advanced technologies of each era.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among the functions of iodine and cyanide derivatives, some have yet to be utilized and hold great potential to advance science and solve future challenges for society and customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Iodine is an extremely valuable resource. Long before the term \u201csustainability\u201d became widely used, Nippoh Chemicals was actively engaged in recovering and recycling iodine from waste generated after use by customers. Nippoh Chemicals\u2019 iodine is used in a variety of ways in various application fields. It is also expected that its applications will continue to diversify in the future. Nippoh Chemicals will continue to deepen its iodine recycling technology and take on new challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How can we survive as a chemical manufacturer in Japan?<br>Individual companies can only do so much. Nippoh Chemicals is a member of the Nippon Shokubai Group. By strengthening collaboration with other Group companies and leveraging our respective strengths, we aim to accelerate the delivery of solutions to our customers.
